If you still have the app installed
Deleting your data is self-service and takes effect immediately. You do not need to contact us, and you do not need an account — Gemdoku has never had one.
- Open Gemdoku and go to Settings.
- Scroll to the Privacy group and find the Privacy & data card.
- On the Delete cloud data row, tap Delete.
- Read what will be removed, then tap Continue.
- On the final confirmation, tap Delete my cloud data.
The deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Afterwards, cloud save is switched off on that device so nothing is uploaded again, and you are not listed in Ranks while it stays off. You can switch cloud save back on whenever you like — that starts creating new records from that point and does not restore anything that was deleted.
If you have already uninstalled Gemdoku
The in-app control is gone, but your data on our servers may still exist. Email data@ublitz.io and include:
- the display name you used in Ranks, and
- the approximate dates you played.
We need both because Gemdoku stores nothing that identifies you — no name, email, or phone number. Everything is keyed to a random, anonymous player ID created on your device, and the display name is the only value you ever chose yourself. If you never set one, we may not be able to locate your records from an email request, because there is nothing to match your request against.
What is deleted
- Your cloud save — puzzle progress, completion history, and the settings stored against your anonymous player ID.
- Your Ranks entries — every leaderboard result recorded under your player ID.
- Your display name — the public name shown next to those results.
What is kept, and why
- Progress saved on your device. Deletion only touches our servers. The game on your phone is untouched, and uninstalling the app removes that local copy.
- Gemdoku Premium purchase records. These are deliberately not removed. Deleting them would take away an unlock you paid for and could not recover, and we are required to keep purchase records to meet tax and accounting obligations. Premium is unaffected by deleting your data.
How long everything else is kept
Two kinds of data are not tied to your player record and are not removed by the control above. Both are deleted automatically on a fixed schedule:
- Gameplay analytics — retained for 2 months, then deleted.
- Crash reports — retained for 90 days, then deleted.
Where your region offers the choice, you can stop both being collected at all from Settings → Privacy & data → Ad privacy options.
